Scanning Reproduction Application

There is a growing community of fine art reproduction professionals that have chosen the ALZO 2000 for their lighting needs. This lighting application employing "scanning back" cameras like the Better Light 4000E, requires powerful lights without the energy consumption and heat generation of Tungsten lights.

The ballast in the ALZO 2000 is designed for still photography and video. It is a very high frequency (35KHZ) square wave that provides continuous flicker free light. In addition, the 3 ballasts in the ALZO 2000 are asynchronous, thereby assuring solid continuous very bright light.

The Metal Halide bulbs in these lights have a very long life (about 7,000 hrs) compared to photo continuous "hot" lights (60-100hrs). These lights produce a fraction of the heat of conventional continuous lights, and are environmentally friendly. The 3 bulbs are separately switched to allow for brightness control. See NOTE below.

The light intensity output is selectable at 1/3, 2/3 and full power with full power equivalent to a 2400 watts of Tungsten light.

NOTE: ALZO HMI/HID bulbs have a 5 minute warm up time and require a 5 minute cool down before they can be re-powered. A status light will indicate when the light is cooling off for auto restart.
